This is the documentary film about the last legal case of “insurrection” after Taiwan had ended its Martial Law and yet criminalized “the intention of insurrection”. At that time one still could be incarcerated by the Article 100 of the Criminal Code, based on his (or her) intention to act or to express without referring to any actual conduct that causes harms to others. In a nutshell, one’s intention of causing civil disturbance was the sufficient condition to get criminalized and punished in 1991. This case sparked the movement to reform the over-criminalization of the Article 100 of the Criminal Code. English subtitles is added!
